The East Asian Management MBA is a part-time programme (blocked seminars on
Sat. + Sun., blended learning modules + Master Thesis). The programme is taught entirely in English, inviting both German and international students who want to further develop their international career. Small classes allow for individual tutoring and counseling of each student. The programme is staffed with highly qualified people with an international background, including both experienced practitioners as well as committed academics.
Core Modules
Global Management provides learners with a deepened knowledge of internationalisation strategies, concepts and instruments of strategic management, and a systematic knowledge in international marketing.
People and Management deals with differences in work behaviour determined by culture, explains how business decisions are influenced by the culture of a respective country, and enables students to develop their understanding of key issues of managing human resources in a global context.
Business Environment aims to equip students with a systematic knowledge and deepened understanding of economics and global economic issues. An overview of research methods is provided and quantitative and qualitative research methods are explored.

International Business Law and Taxes introduces basic principles of international business law, is concerned with corporate ethics, codes of conduct and values in management systems, and addresses the purpose, kinds, regulation and use of taxation in international business.
International Operations and Project Management addresses the latest Operations Management theories and techniques, and fundamental principles of Project Management, its possible fields of application and its relevance for process optimization of the value chain.

· Mandatory elective courses in area studies and language training either with focus on China,
India, Japan, or Korea. Students can choose one country focus upon their application to the programme.
· In-depths electives where students can specialise by choosing one of various modules, e.g.: Comparative East Asian Management, Innovation Management, Leadership Challenges, International Logistics, or Global Strategy Analysis.
The language training in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean is organised as a blend of two twoweeks compact language courses at the renowned Bochum University Institute of Intensive Language Training (Landesspracheninstitut NRW) and distant learning modules. Hindi is taught by in-house staff in Bremen both through in class and distant learning courses.
One module in each semester is developed as a mix of in class and distant learning (blended learning) providing students with the opportunity to finish the course at their own pace.
