Goldsmiths is offering short courses in Professional Media Practice designed to allow professionals to understand the challenges of the new media environment, and develop the creativity and confidence to succeed.
Goldsmiths-Skillset short courses in Professional Media Practice are designed by industry, for industry. Flexible, practical and cutting edge, courses offer creative stimulation and hands-on skills development. You can accumulate credits across the Academy Network and build your own PG Certificate, Diploma or Master's qualification.
Today's media industry is a multiplatform, multichannel world characterised by social media, interactivity, and user-generated content. Hungry for fresh ideas and new content, it offers all kinds of creative and business opportunities. Our short courses in Professional Media Practice are designed to explore these new challenges and help you to develop the creativity, confidence and new skills you need to make the most of this rapidly evolving landscape.
Each course has been developed closely with expert industry partners. Wherever you live or work in the UK, these courses are highly accessible, delivered via face-to-face workshops with full online support. Skillset bursaries are available to fund up to 80% of your costs.
You can enroll on just one short course or sign up to do a few to build your own unique Master's. The choice is yours. Each short course is assessed by 100% coursework and, to be eligible for Master's level (M) credits, for each course you will be required to successfully complete a professionally orientated assignment.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testThe course is open to media professionals with an undergraduate degree and the required work experience in a relevant industry (normally a minimum of two years), and to non-graduates with significant and relevant work experience (normally ten years) who can demonstrate an ability to both complete and benefit from the course.
