This programme is for engineers who wish to specialise in water and wastewater engineering from an international perspective. The programme focuses on the processes involved in water supply and sanitary waste planning and design.
The programme aims to develop participants’ potential and their understanding of important aspects of sustainable public health infrastructure and services for all levels of consumers; to equip them with appropriate expertise and skills for work in low- and middle-income countries; and to provide opportunities for specialisation in one topic through in-depth study during the Individual Research Project module.

Assessment
15-credit modules, timed assessments and coursework, and, for most programmes, a group project. Distance learning by coursework. Research project (60 credits) dissertation, fact sheet/briefing note and oral examination.

Entry qualifications vary depending on the programme, but generally a good honours degree in engineering or related discipline or an equivalent professional qualification.
All applicants must have an acceptable qualification in English language before they can be admitted to any postgraduate programme. :

* IELTS band 6.5 or above with not less than 6.0 in each sub test
* TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice) minimum score of 100 (Internet-based test) with specific requirements for sub tests
