The International Business Program is taught over one year between two countries – in England and in France. It provides a clear program dealing with the complexities of international management in the twenty-first century. Critical issues are studied, including globalisation, risk management, the significance of cultural understanding, and the financial challenges facing international businesses that shape their activities. An emphasis is also placed upon developing students’ personal transferable competencies and attributes.
The program is made up of an introductory residential seminar and 10 core modules, a work placement and a dissertation. ESCEM achieved AACSB International in 2006 enabling it to reach the highest international academic standards. For its students, alumni, partners and stakeholders this international recognition is a result of the ambitious development strategy that ESCEM has undertaken over the last few years.
Today ESCEM is one of the 16 French management schools who have the AACSB accreditations.
AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is an American association that grants internationally recognized accreditation to the best undergraduate and graduate business administration and accounting programs. It was founded in 1916 and implements very high academic standards, which focus on educational methods, research and even human and material resource management.
This accreditation means:
* Better visibility on the national but also international scene
* A guarantee of the quality and professional relevance of ESCEM’s programs
* Compliance with international standards
* Development of course content taught by highly qualified, academic and applied research-oriented faculty
* Easier access to international business networks
* Opportunities of new partnership agreements providing ESCEM with a rich exchange portfolio
