Study plan is focused on detailed analyses of load-bearing structures, design of concrete, steel, timber and masonry elements and structures including their interactions as well as optimization of their structural and technological design. Students will be trained in using new and non traditional materials; fundamentals of dynamic analyses are also incorporated. Specialization of graduates will be achieved through the selection from a variety of optional subjects and demonstrated particularly within final diploma work.

* For study programmes of Civil Engineering/Stavební in and Civil Engineering the condition is successful completion of a four-year Bachelor degree study programme in the same or related branch of study (related branches of study are specified in par. 3).
For the study programme of Intelligent Buildings the condition is successful completion of study in Bachelor degree study programmes in branches of study oriented towards building structures, architecture, building environment technology, building services.
* Submission of a properly filled in application form by 31.3.2011, including compulsory enclosures specified in the Dean´s Directive.
* Submission of an authenticated copy of the Bachelor diploma, including the diploma supplement in a time pursuant to the Dean´s Directive. If Bachelor study was completed abroad (not applicable to the Slovak Republic), the condition is submission of an official translation of the documents above into English.
* Foreign citizens (excluding applicants from the Slovak Republic) applying for study in a study programme in Czech will certify their readiness to study in Czech language by submitting a certificate of passing the school-leaving or state examination in Czech, or by a certificate of passing an examination in Czech at min. A1 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages".
* Applicants for study in a study programme in English will certify their readiness to study in English language by completing the Bachelor degree study programme in English or by submitting a certificate of a school-leaving or state examination in English, or by a certificate of passing an examination in English at min. A1 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages".
