International Faculty of Engineering (IFE), founded in 1992, is the unit where all the courses are taught in English and French. The main target of IFE is to educate future engineers, who apart from the professional knowledge possess perfect command of Foreign Languages.

IFE offers five-year Master of Science programmes designed to foster the development of knowledge and professional skills so vital in the world of advancing technology and expanding social and economic needs. They consist of a basic foundation in science and engineering combined with essential modern management and organisation science, with English or French as a medium of instruction.

All the programs have been designed to include the following:

* Fundamental topics in basic science,
* Engineering problems,
* Engineering design skill formation, including the development of problem-solving skills,
* Computers and computer technology, including the application of computers to engineering and engineering management,
* Entrepreneurship, management, organisation, commerce, and English or French language.

All programmes contain basic subjects e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and technical ones required by the curriculum prescribed for particular field of study. In later semesters programme is divided into few specializations, which means that a student may choose an area of his\her interest. Beside compulsory courses for specific specialization, a student takes also elective ones. During the last semester a student works on his\her final project or degree thesis.

Although courses may differ from Faculty to Faculty they also have much in common.Some courses are found in all Faculties, other are specific to a particular one.
The courses require from a student to hand in a certain number of assignments, a project, or to attend lectures. This requirement appears in the course unit description.

Graduation takes place after complying with all the programme requirements established for a given type of studies by Faculty Council, presenting the diploma thesis, and after passing the diploma examination. The final result of the studies is defined on the basis of the average grade of all the grades obtained in the course of studies, the grade for the diploma thesis and the grade for the diploma examination.

Studies consist of:

* lectures
* tutorials
* laboratories
* seminars
