Location of Central European University (CEU)

The Department of Legal Studies offers advanced degree programs in comparative constitutional law, human rights and international business law. The curriculum combines international and regional intellectual traditions, and offers students professional training and internship opportunities. Outstanding professors introduce students to stateof-the-art legal research, reasoning and writing, enabling them to become competitive, and capable of working in various fi elds of legal practice and research upon successful graduation.

Master of Laws in Law and Economics (LLM, One Year)

This program, taught jointly with the Department of Economics, provides students with an ability to critically evaluate legal and economic issues. It aims to prepare graduates for careers in public organizations, business and law firms. CEU fellowships are not available for this program.

Career Paths

Graduates of the department pursue successful careers as policymakers, diplomats, ombudsmen, EU consultants, and lawyers in business and human rights law.
