If you are a graduate who would like to understand more about the theoretical concepts underpinning young children's nurture, care and education then this is a relevant course for you.
If you have studied Early Childhood Studies, Education, or a related subject, at degree level, this course will give you the opportunity to look at aspects of young children's lives in order to extend your knowledge and build upon your interests.
The course is also designed for people who are working with young children (for example, foundation stage teachers, graduates working in children's centres, parents and carers, or other early years practitioners) who would like to study further to extend their personal and professional development.
Dialogues with colleagues from around the world have been fostered through international conferences run by the Early Childhood Research Group (and associated publications). MA students from different countries will be welcomed and may contribute to this community of enquiry.

Assessment
You will gain skills in undertaking professional enquiry and early childhood research. Assessment takes the form of different types of presentations and written assignments. There are no exams.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testFirst degree at 2.2, should be in Early Childhood Studies, Education or a related subject (e.g. psychology, sociology, philosophy, history, cultural studies, health and / or social care, law, politics, social policy and economics etc.) Preferred: Criminal Records Bureau check, enhanced disclosure (necessary before fieldwork / research can be undertaken in early childhood settings). This is not an essential course requirement, as the pathway can be successfully completed with a focus on theory and literature, but students without a current CRB or unable to obtain one will not be able to engage in any direct work with young children in early childhood settings. Our published entry requirements are a guide only and our decision will be based on your overall suitability for the course as well as whether you meet the minimum entry requirements.
