Designed to meet the requirements of people currently practising within the field, this programme aims to further develop you as an autonomous, critically aware and reflective MRI practitioner. MRI is a fast-changing field, and this programme will enable you to respond to that change in a positive way, and to demonstrate your commitment to your continued professional development.

Another important aim of this course is to encourage research and development of the imaging profession. In your Major Project you will have the opportunity to carry out a significant piece of research and to make a genuine contribution to MRI practice. Course content will develop your understanding of scientific principles and enhance your knowledge and skills in routine clinical applications and advanced practice. By the time you graduate, you will be able not only to critically evaluate MRI images, but also to evaluate the emotional impact of the examination upon the patient.
