Current research covers a wide portfolio of basic, translational and clinical research focusing on endocrinology, and neonatal medicine, with all the major paediatric subspecialties active in research (for example nephrology, neurology, gastroenterology and dietetics).
Ongoing studies employ a broad range of approaches including clinical experimental, database and qualitative studies. Opportunities in the subspecialty have been enhanced by the recent development of our satellite Wellcome Trust Paediatric Clinical Research Facility on the Birmingham Children’s Hospital site.
