The Graduate School of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) offers a wide range of professionally orientated courses. You may opt for a general multidisciplinary approach or choose from a range of more specialised programmes with a more specific career orientation.

We arrange study visits to NATO and the EU in Brussels, and we have an extensive programme of visiting speakers involving British and overseas academics, diplomats and other professionals.

This programme offers you the chance to develop an advanced theoretical and research-based training, especially interesting for students wishing to pursue further postgraduate studies.


Contents

The MA/Diploma in International Relations (Research Methods) is a specialist programme designed for those students wishing to prepare for advanced research in international studies. It allows you to select core modules from a list including Advanced Political Analysis and Principles of Social Science Research Methods in addition to options and your dissertation.

IELTS

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

* For the MA programme you require a good Honours degree or its equivalent.
* For those whose first language is not English, a TOEFL or IELTS Certificate is required.
* Entry at Graduate Diploma level is possible for those with a reasonable first degree.
* Graduate Diploma students can upgrade to the MA on satisfactory examination performance.
