The 2nd cycle degree programme in Philosophical Sciences provides advanced knowledge of the main critical-historical analysis methods for philosophical texts, with reference to fundamental concepts, modes of argument and special languages, as well as interpretation of theories and models in use in the various general and sectorial fields of philosophy.

The degree programme offers a guided choice with course units which are listed on the ministerial schedule as part of “core” study groups, for instance: Theoretical Philosophy, Philosophy of Language, Logic and Philosophy of Science, Ethical Philosophy, Aesthetics, History of Philosophy, History of Science and Scientific studies. The second year of the 2nd cycle degree programme provides integrated course units, internships (an important opportunity for students to come in contact with the world of work) and a philosophical, interdisciplinary and interactive workshop in connection with preparation of the thesis.
