The degree programme aims to form graduates with cognitive, methodological and operative tools inherent to the professional figure of School and Community Psychologist. Therefore, the degree programme proposes specific objectives so as to provide graduates with the psychological knowledge and expertise in the two macro-areas relating to: school and educational organisations; communities (both territorial and accommodation and recovery).
The degree programme further aims to provide the research and intervention methods in these areas, so 2nd cycle degree programme graduates will be able to independently carry out professional actions aimed at planning, managing and evaluating:
* interventions on individual and group needs of users, based on the use of appropriate tools (observation, standardised tools);
* interventions to promote the quality of life, the effectiveness and efficiency of groups and organisations present within the Community;
* prevention interventions of social categories at risk;
* interventions regarding the continuous training of teachers, parents and professionals of institutions that provide services to the Community and to the person.
The learning course is based on the integration of teaching-learning forms referable to theoretical-methodological course units in the context of psychology of education, social, organisations, dynamics, clinical and community, research seminars, practical experience, internships carried out in environments relevant to the identified professional figure.
First Year

The acquisition of 8 elective credits is provided for respectively during the first and second year; one or more course units from among those annually identified by the Degree Programme of this 2nd cycle degree programme or one of the other Faculty 2nd cycle degree programmes may be indicated as course units independently chosen by the student. These course units are considered to be coherent with the learning project. Should students wish to take an examination on a subject not included among those listed a request must be presented to the Degree Programme Board that will assess the coherence of the choice with the learning outcomes of the Degree Programme.
