Our MSc in Engineering Business Management is designed for those who want to become managers and leaders in technology-based businesses. It is suitable for those with work experience as well as those with little or no background in business.
A broad education in management and business with the analytical tools and techniques so that you can improve internal and external operations as well as the processes and technologies used by engineering businesses.
You will develop skills in the research, analysis and evaluation of complex business problems and gain a methodical approach to problem solving and decision making.
Graduates can expect to be employed as leaders of business development, manufacturing, quality assurance, human resources or customer service in a wide variety of manufacturing or service organisations, particularly where technology plays a significant part in business success.

If you can gain exemption from some of the core modules because of prior experience or qualifications, then you may choose more electives.
Up to two elective modules from the list of elective modules can be chosen subject to availability. For Engineering Business Management, you will usually be expected to take the ten Core and Specialist Course modules listed above.
The project is worth 50% of the final grade and supports you in developing your personal research skills.
For Engineering Business Management the project can be related to the management of companies in a number of different industrial sectors and can address many different aspects of business management such as operational, financial, human resource, supply chain or strategic management issues.
Taught material is a blend of formal lectures, seminars and practical exercises and case studies to encourage teamwork and practical grounding of the material. Module leaders are experts in their fields and are supported by external speakers working in organisations at the forefront of their fields.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

Register Now!For our MSc programmes you should normally have obtained at least the equivalent of a UKsecond class honours degree, or an equivalent qualification in a science, engineering, IT, business or management discipline.
If you have a good honours degree in another discipline, and can show proof of satisfactory numeracy, you may also be considered. We may also consider degrees in other disciplines if you have two or more years of relevant work experience.
Studying at Warwick requires a high level of competence in English. If you are a non-native English speaker you must show English test results equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with broadly consistent scores in the elements of the test. We accept IELTS, Pearson Test in English (Academic) and TOEFL (iBT).

Candidates who successfully complete this programme and meet the conditions specified may apply for full membership of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Acceptance will be subject to the submission of a formal application and evidence of three years experience in purchasing and supply management in a position of responsibility. Entrance and subscription fees applicable at the time of admission to CIPS will be payable.

If you are deemed for fee purposes to be from a Latin American country, Iran, Turkey or Syria then you will automatically be awarded these tuition fee bursaries. There is no need to apply for these awards and there is no deadline, they are given to all eligible offer-holders who are from these areas. Note that the Turkish and Syrian awards are dependent on your final GPA as awarded by a recognised Turkish / Syrian Institution. If you are a Turkish or Syrian national but studied at undergraduate level at a University outside your home country, a judgement will be made by us on the GPA equivalence. These awards will be paid towards tuition fees only.
