This Master level program offers a two year curriculum in transdisciplinary studies of science, technology, and environments. It builds on the special contributions of research in the environmental humanities and science and technology studies. It promotes a deeper understanding, and analysis, of the historical and contemporary dynamics of the human relationship to the rest of nature.
The Master Program in Science, Technology, and Environmental studies targets national and international students wishing to pursue advanced studies of the relationship between people, society, and the rest of nature. It is open to students of various backgrounds, as long as they have a bachelor degree (180 ECTS), including a bachelor thesis or exam project work and a minimum of 90 ECTS of courses in one subject.
The first term consists of a set of core courses that introduces students to the field of Science, technology and environmental studies. In the second term, students may tailor their education to particular interests through the choice of elective courses (in total 15 ECTS), ending the term with a written research paper of 15 ECTS. During the third term students may go abroad on an international exchange stay, and the last term is dedicated to writing the Master thesis.
All courses are taught in English and the program includes a term of international exchange.

The combination of transferable skills and expert knowledge will give students a unique applied relevance for a variety of careers in the public sector, business, government, non-governmental organizations, and the academic world. -Continuation of a career in science, technology and environment with additional expertise in human, cultural and social dimensions. -Further research in the areas of environmental humanities and Science and Technology Studies -Employment as investigator, advisor, consultant, manager, civil servant, policy-maker, science communicator, with special expertise in the interplay of science, technology and environment.
The programme emphasizes a participatory and reflexive pedagogy that involves critical reading of classic and contemporary texts from the humanities, social sciences, and the natural sciences, combined with empirical and analytic engagements with textual and material worlds. The program will actively help students develop transferable skills, such as effective analytical writing, digital tools and the capacity to communicate complex issues concisely and with clarity to different audiences.

A bachelor degree (180 ECTS), including a bachelor thesis or exam project work and a minimum of 90 ECTS of courses in History, History of ideas, Geography, Media studies, Sociology, Ethnology, Political science, Economic history, Regional science, Environmental science, or the equivalent. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English A (IELTS (Academic) with a minimum overall score of 5.5 and no individual score below 5.0. TOEFL PBT (Paper-based Test) with a minimum total score of 530 and a minimum TWE score of 4. TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) with a minimum total score of 72 and a minimum score of 17 on the Writing Section).
