This programme is given by Umeå Business School of Business and Economics. The programme aims to prepare students with skills involved in launching and leading businesses but also to use those skills to develop and run business with a direction towards international expansion and growth. With the exception of some elective courses, the program is offered in English. Level of Education: Second degree studies

In addition to leading entrepreneurial ventures, students will be equipped to pursue careers as in business development, working to identify, initiate, and develop business opportunities, support innovation or lead strategic change processes. The competence provided in this programme is also suited for strategy work in larger firms, the growing sector of policy and support agencies and for work in international business units or sectors where competition, globalisation and technological development are key areas for future development. Some of the career possibilities for this programme include Company CEO, Corporate Manager, Business Developer, Corporate Vice-President, Department Manager, Business Consultant as well as various entrepreneurial activities.
Contents
During the first year, the main focus of the program is on developing the knowledge within the main subject, Entrepreneurship. This development is achieved through modules in Entrepreneurship and Business Growth as well as in Managing Networks and Internationalization. In lectures and seminars the students will get a theoretical foundation which will be applied on cases. During the first year it is also possible to complement the studies in Business Development and Internationalization with other elective subjects.
The second year includes a compulsory methodological course and a course outlining recent trends in the field of your specialization. Apart from this, the student is supposed to deepen their knowledge in a supplementary area, such as in marketing, management or finance. The studies also involve writing of a Master's thesis.

A Bachelor's degree (equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen, 180 ECTS) from an internationally recognised university with a major in Business Administration. Special requirements are: 90 ECTS (one and a half years of full-time study) in Business Administration. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B (IELTS (Academic) with a minimum overall score of 6.5 and no individual score below 5.5. TOEFL PBT (Paper-based Test) with a minimum score of 575 and a minimum TWE score of 4.5). TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) with a minimum score of 90 and a minimum score of 20 on the Writing Section). Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies. You will find detailed information about requirements under the heading of Eligibility in the menu to the right. If you are still working towards your undergraduate degree, you need to include with your application a document from your current University, outlining when you are expected to graduate as well as a course outline for the last semester.
