The teaching draws on a wide range of language, cultural and practical expertise and offers opportunities to study relevant specialist areas such as Social Sciences or Law.
You can specialise in areas including subtitling, journalistic language and the use of relevant technologies. The programme will also examine the considerable strides in the use of software for translation.
You will be assessed through your project work, regular translations and a dissertation, which may consist of a substantial piece of literary or non-literary translation (or a portfolio of materials) with accompanying commentary.
You will also have the possibility to embark on the study of a new language.

IELTS
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

You should normally have a 2.1 Honours degree, or an equivalent qualification in a Modern European language or in a related discipline and be able to demonstrate competence in a second language equivalent to European Common Framework C1.
If you have similar competence in a further language, you are eligible to take on additional (optional) advanced language study in semesters 1 and 2.

If your first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level. See
