You’ll learn core management disciplines, whilst tailoring the course to your needs through a choice of three pathways: Digital Business; Globalisation, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility; or Strategy and Leadership. You’ll undertake practical business assessments, such as the Business Plan Competition, Business Simulation Exercise and the Consulting Project Course. One of the unique features of the MSc Management programme is that it offers you the opportunity to study management skills while at the same time providing advanced insights into innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the programme you will study 9 core courses, undertake a Consulting Project Course, participate in a Business Plan Competition and a Business Simulation Exercise, and have the opportunity to choose from one of three pathways:
* the Digital Business pathway provides both the economic foundations for analysing competition in digital markets, and the strategic insights necessary to succeed in Digital Business.
* the Globalisation, Sustainability in Business, and Corporate Social Responsibility pathway will develop insights into the development of global corporate strategies in the context of socially responsible business behaviour.
* the new Strategy and Leadership pathway is designed to introduce students to advanced concepts in strategic management, to highlight the importance of leaders in developing and implementing strategy, and to develop their personal leadership capabilities in order to ensure they are effective strategic managers.
Teaching methods We take as much pride in our teaching as in our research, using a variety of teaching methods on the MSc including:

* Case studies and practical examples
Assessment You’ll be assessed via a mixture of examinations and coursework.
Autumn term courses are examined in the first week of the spring term, spring term courses in the first week of the summer term.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.

Academic requirement
A good undergraduate honours degree from a recognised university in social sciences, engineering, computing, accounting or a humanities subject (equivalent of a UK 2:1 honours degree or above). Work experience is not a pre-requisite, however applicants with less than two years' full-time experience are welcomed.
Applicants with international qualifications are requested to send a full transcript of their qualification for confirmation of eligibility.
We do not require a GMAT or GRE score for the MSc Management programme.
English language requirement
All students are required to hold an English language qualification, of a higher standard than the College minimum requirement. Acceptable qualifications include:
* GCSE, IGCSE, GCE `O´ Level or equivalent at grade C
* Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) at grade C.
* IELTS: A minimum score of 7 with a score of 6 or better in written and spoken English.
* TOEFL: A minimum score of 610 (or 253 in the computer-based test) with a minimum score of 4.5 in written English. For the internet-based test we require 98 overall, including a minimum of 25 in the written section and 23 in the speaking section.
Please note that this requirement is equally applicable to Home, EU and Overseas students. It may be possible to waive the Tanaka Business School higher language requirement element under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the School. ALL applications MUST meet the College minimum requirement.
