You will have the opportunity to develop practical skills and produce innovative work and research. Through our experience in providing multiplatform journalism education and our culture of innovation, we are ideally placed to address the technological and cultural challenges facing 21st century journalism. On this Masters journalism degree, you will not only develop skills in digital journalism, but will explore deep, broad and innovative responses to the challenges posed by interactivity and convergence.

Successful completion of this MA Investigative Journalism degree will allow mid-career journalists and industry newcomers to provide potential employers with evidence of a skills-based but strategic approach to the new journalistic environment.

The MA Interactive Journalism includes the following modules:
* Newsgathering/Writing Skills
* Law and Regulation
* Academic Research Skills
* Relevant Media Theory
* Video Journalism/Online Production/Technical Digital Skills
* Major Project
This journalism course culminates in a Masters-level dissertation module that can be an individual academic investigation or substantial piece of journalism practice.
How You Will Study
The MA Interactive Journalism degree is taught through lectures, seminars and project work. You will be expected to produce practical work on a weekly basis and a placement is a compulsory element of the course. Although the course will be taught in English, it is possible to submit work through the medium of Welsh. All staff teaching the journalism modules are professional journalists.
IELTS
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

An Honours degree of class 2:1 or higher, or relevant professional experience. Applicants who do not have English as their first language need to have achieved an overall IELTS grade of 8.0.
