Growth in the mobile and satellite communications industries has created a high demand for graduates with expertise in the key areas of digital, mobile and satellite communications and networking.
By graduation, you will be well-equipped to develop new applications with full awareness of the issues facing the next generation of communication systems.
Your study will include advances in antennas and propagation, digital transmission, satellite communications, mobile communications, satellite networks and wireless applications. All this has been enriched by new modules in satellite networking and product management. You will learn how to use the latest computer-aided engineering tools and techniques for the design, manufacture and testing of electronic products.

How You Will Study
MSc Mobile and Satellite Communications is delivered in three major blocks that offer an intensive but flexible learning pattern, with two entry opportunities for applicants each year – February and September. There are six taught modules and an 18-week major project. If you study part-time, you will complete three modules each year and a project in Year Three.
The use of block-mode delivery makes modules available to students who want to continue in full-time employment while studying for the MSc and to short course participants. Typically, each module will be assessed through 50% coursework and 50% examination.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA minimum 2:2 Honours degree in an engineering subject, computing, physics or mathematics. If you do not have these qualifications, we will consider your case individually. The course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
