How You Will Study
MSc Mechanical Engineering is delivered in three major blocks that offer an intensive but flexible learning pattern, with two entry opportunities for applicants each year – February and September. Modules are taught through lectures, tutorials and practical laboratory work, and are continually assessed by coursework or by a mixture of coursework and exams.

The dissertation has three assessment elements: a thesis, a poster presentation and oral examination (viva voce). Staff are active in research and/or consultancy, bringing relevant case studies and context to the subjects you will study.

Requirements

A minimum 2:2 Honours degree in mechanical engineering, although related engineering disciplines may be considered. The course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
