You will learn about modern AI theory and its general application across industry as a whole, gain experience with game engine design and acquire practical knowledge of computer graphics. As such, the course covers advanced topics at the forefront of computer game development.

How You Will Study
The course is delivered in four major blocks that offer an intensive but focused learning pattern, with two entry opportunities for applicants every year – February and September. You will also need to spend time on background reading, research and assignments, and will have access to up-to-date resources during the practical sessions. Full-time students will typically spend 12 hours in classes each week. If you choose to study part-time, this is reduced to around six hours each week.
You will undertake the individual project dissertation of your choice, where strong independent thinking and project management skills will be important. Most modules are assessed by coursework only, but some may involve an end-of-module examination. You will be taught by an internationally-recognised team from the Faculty’s Game and Artificial Intelligence Paradigms Research Unit.You will have the exciting opportunity to study part of the award in a partner European university.

This course is designed for graduates with a minimum 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent in computing or a strongly related subject. Applicants must be proficient programmers. The course welcomes international applicants and requires an English level of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
