Our MSc Intelligent Computer Systems has a strong emphasis on software development and artificial intelligence (AI). In addition to the application of AI in computer games, you will learn about modern AI theory and its general application across industry as a whole. There is also the exciting opportunity to study part of your award in a partner European university.

Possible Career Options
By the time you graduate, you will be well-equipped for employment in a diverse range of business intelligence, decision-making support and computer-system development roles that require expertise in AI. How You Will Study
The course is delivered in four major blocks that offer an intensive but focused learning pattern, with two entry opportunities for applicants every year – February and September. Full-time students will typically spend 12 hours in classes each week. If you choose to study part-time, this is reduced to around six hours each week.

During practical sessions, you will have access to up-to-date resources. You will undertake an individual major project of your choice in addition to preparing a research style paper, where strong independent thinking, critical analysis and project management skills will be important. Most modules are assessed by coursework, but some may involve an end-of-module examination. You will be taught by an internationally-recognised team from the Faculty’s Game and Artificial Intelligence Paradigms Research Unit.
