This course is occupationally focused and helps you become a highly skilled cognitive behavioural psychotherapist working with people with psychosis and/or personality disorders. You'll also have the opportunity to develop exceptional communication and networking skills. At the same time, the programme informs and directs your practice through critical refelction and the interpretation of research findings.
This programme has been designed to meet your needs as a professional. It is also aimed at the significant number of therapists who have undertaken Certificate, Diploma and Degree level qualifications, who want to update their knowledge and skills at Master's level.
You'll cover contemporary assessment, conceptualisation and therapeutic cognitive and behavioural interventions across a wide range of problems. Research training is also given and, in the final year, you'll carry out a research dissertation with supervision.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

If you have a minor qualification in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, or substantive experience in supervised practice, you may be eligible for entry through the system of Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). To be considered for APL, please complete the normal application forms and return with a covering letter. Entry is normally subject to interview.
