The MA in Creative Writing and Publishing offers those who want to work with words a chance to develop their creative writing portfolio at the same time as getting to grips with the industry in which they wish to publish their work.
Very few budding writers make a living from writing alone. This course offers savvy creative writers the chance to learn not only the craft of writing in an established creative writing department but also to learn about current trends in publishing from world-renowned professionals.
What will you study?
Students will study a combination of courses on creative writing and publishing. Creative Writing at Kingston is work-shop led and in the second semester you will be given the opportunity to specialise in the written form of your choice (be it poetry, drama or children's fiction). Publishing at Kingston focuses on marketing-led commercial and trade publishing and the courses you study will focus on the structure of the industry and the core skills required to get into it.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

You must also submit a 2,000-word sample of creative writing. International students must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent
