There are two possible routes for the Master in Engineering M.A.I. degree.
By the first route, for the `ordinary´ M.A.I. degree, the candidate must already have taken the degree of B.A.I. of the University of Dublin and have practised for three years as an engineer. The student is required to prepare a dissertation on a research project carried out in his/her professional environment.
The work is to be carried out to academic criteria and should include some contribution to knowledge. It will be supervised by a member of the staff of the School of Engineering. The agreement, in writing, of a person in authority from the student's workplace to carry out this research will normally be required.
The second route, for the degree known as the M.A.I. (Recurrent Education).
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
