It´s a significant qualification focusing specifically on practical benefits for aspiring managers in the complex world of business, whether local, national or multinational. It offers a tailored progression route through the three stages of the programme - PG Cert, PG Dip and Masters level - where you can combine optional modules from all other Masters programmes offered within The Derbyshire Business School (subject to availability). These include MSc Marketing Management, MSc HRM and MSc Strategic Financial Management and the MBA.
You´ll develop an integrated and critically aware understanding of management and organisations, whilst also developing transferable and intellectual skills which can be used in any management environment.
The programme has drawn students from 50 different countries over recent years and international students may benefit from the short Pre-MBA/Management Masters Foundation Programme prior to the commencement of the full Masters degree. Successful students completing the Foundation Programme gain the Institute of Leadership and Management Introductory Diploma in Management.
There is a growing demand for specialist Master´s graduates with skills in the functional or departmental needs of management. By pursuing our Master´s subjects, you´ll have a clearadvantage over other candidates when seeking new challenges in your career.
The MSc Management qualification is well respected and will enable you to successfully manage in either a business unit, organisational or entrepreneurial role.

The MSc Management is studied over 12 months full time if you start in September, or over 14 months if you start in January. It offers a tailored progression route through three stages which culminates in the award of the MSc Management.
At Certificate stage you´ll gain an understanding of the requirements in key business functions. The Integrated Management module covers the core functional subjects of marketing, human resources, operations and quality - the building blocks in management. As part of this module you´ll also take part in a three-day residential activity. This is held at a special country house management centre which has excellent dedicated facilities. The residential combines fun, learning and development and is also designed to foster personal and professional relationships in a friendly and challenging environment. You´ll also choose two further modules from a range of options which allows you to specialise in areas that suit your own interests.
At Diploma stage you´ll take Strategic Management as a core module and then choose three further options which again allow you to tailor the programme to your individual needs and interests.
Study at Master´s stage includes advanced strategic management in a global context, and a substantial Independent Study in which you´ll develop and demonstrate your powers of rigorous analysis, critical enquiry, clear expression and independent judgement in an area of management enquiry.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
