MBA programmes have been provided by the Kemmy Business School since 1984. The Corporate MBA Programme is of two years duration and is suitable for company and public sector personnel who have significant management responsibilities, or whose careers are developing towards middle or senior management responsibilities. There is an annual intake to the Corporate MBA which is delivered on a block-release basis.
Objectives
* To build individual student competencies to a level where they can operate as effective managers in a global environment.
* To offer significant value to employers, not only through enhanced individual abilities, but through project and assignment work related to the organisation;
* To equip students with a broad range of decision-making skills and an enhanced ability to cope with external changes emanating from the international business environment.
Contents
Year 1
Organisational Behaviour, Financial Reporting, International Political Economy, Data Analysis for Business Decisions, International Management, Corporate Finance, Globalisation & International Economic Issues, Market Orientation & Customer Focus.
Year 2
Corporate Strategy Analysis, Information Systems and Knowledge Management, Relationship Marketing, Strategic Human Resource Management, Implementing Strategy, Strategic Leadership, Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Managing Projects and Operations.
Electives
Students will undertake elective modules during two summer schools. One elective per summer school will be chosen from the following: International Finance, Taxation, Strategic Sales Management, Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainable Enterprise, Human Resource Development, Corporate & Commercial Law, Technology Management.

Normally a primary degree (Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland) with first or second class honours or an approved professional qualification. At least four years' experience at managerial level is also required. In the case of candidates without an honours degree, five years' experience will be required. In addition, an acceptable score in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and an interview with the course selection panel are prerequisites for entry to the programme.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
As all international students are required to possess sufficient language skills to attend lectures and sit examinations at the University of Limerick, students should be competent to communicate through the medium of English prior to their arrival. Students must have a minimum score of 550 (paper based) or 213(computer based) 80 (internet based) in TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score in the range of 6.5-7 and not less than 6.0 in any one component.
