The EnvEuro Programme is developed and delivered by four european universities - all among the best in their field in Europe.

The programme has specific focus on water as a theme, which binds the different parts of the programme together. The programme is directed towards students in natural sciences, but starts with delineation of the general European Environmental Management System as a background for in depth studies during the following semesters. The programme builds on European experiences in environmental science and management.

The two-year M.Sc. programme comprises four semesters, during which 4 compulsory modules (30 credits) and elective modules of at least 60 credits and the Master thesis (30 credits) have to be completed.
Obligatory is at least one semester study and the Master thesis at one of the partner university as described.
The programme starts each year at the end of August with an one-week intensive introduction course in Copenhagen.
Returning to Hohenheim students have to complete 4 more compulsory modules (basic semester package)
* Cartography and GIS, part one - 3 credits
* Matter Cycling in Agroecosystems - 6 credits
* Quantitative Methods in Biosciences - 6 credits
* Environmental Management in Europe (EME) - e-learning based - 15 credits
The specialisation beginns in the second semester at the University of Hohenheim with the so called "Advanced semester package 1".
The "Advanced Semester Package 2" in the third semester is offered by one of the partner universities (host university).

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country. Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test. More information
Each year, 10 students are admitted to the programme. Students require an above-average Bachelor of Science or an equivalent degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Biology or a related discipline following at least three years of university studies oder German FH studies. Over and above these general entry requirements, selection will be based upon grades, educational background and relevant professional experience. Additional professional qualifications can also be considered.
Applicants whose first language or language of instruction at University is not English have to provide a proof of proficiency in English (i.e. in TOEFL or IELTS Academic Test). Required TOEFL Scores are:
* a minimum of 560 points in the paper based test or
* 220 points in the computer based test or
* 83 points in the internet-based TOEFL test
