This innovative Professional MBA program supports managers and high potentials in the finance industry in their quest for staying on the edge of financial management.
The Professional MBA Banking aimes to provide a specialisation in the field of banking, insurance and asset management. It is primarily seen from the key functions of financial intermediation including the transformation and transfer of financial risk. A particular focus lies on the financial markets of the Central and Eastern European Region, an area of growing importance for international finance and for Austrian institutions in particular.
International Faculty
Faculty consists of international faculty as well as of top executives. World-renowned professors and professionals - each an expert in his or her field - provide latest scientifically based knowledge as well as in-depth views of state-of-the-art applications of management models.
Didactic Design
The didactic design, consisting of pre-, core- and post-module work, ensures an efficient learning transfer while participants follow their professional career. Various pedagogical approaches such as case studies, presentations, group work, etc. are being used.
Contents
The part-time Professional MBA program offers participants to master the Business Core while ensuring a maximum flexibility to foster their individual needs and ambitions during the "Specialization" modules.
During the Business Core part, the first six months, participants focus on comprehensive core general management knowledge and techniques as well as leadership.During the specialization part, lasting 12 to 18 months, participants may select one out of 11 specializations. The specialization modules allow participants to gain profound knowledge, competency and expertise in a chosen function or industry.
Strong Link to the Economy
All specializations have been designed with the demands of current business practice in mind. Moreover, they aim to prepare participants for future changes arising from increasing environmental uncertainty and globalization. To this end, curricula have been developed by academics faculty in close cooperation with specialists and top executives from industry.

The Professional MBA Banking lasts 18 months.
The key conceptual frameworks part is termed Business Core and provides in-depth view of state of the art applications of General Management models. The minimum requirements for admission to the program are:
* Undergraduate degree (equivalent to a bachelor degree)
* Minimum of three years work experience
* Proficiency in written and spoken English
The whole program is taught in English, thus all candidates whose native language is not English, and who have not graduated from an undergraduate program conducted in English, are required to provide proof of English language proficiency by one of the tests listed below or by any other evidence of an advanced level of English.
* TOEFL 570 PBT or 230 CBT or 80 IBT or
* IELTS 6.5 (no sub-score under 6.0) or
* Cambridge Certificate BEC Higher - Grade A
