The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Materials is aimed at engineering, science or technology graduates seeking to further their careers in the area of advanced materials. It should be of particular interest to chemistry, physics and mechanical engineering graduates.

Recent developments in areas such as biomedical materials, lightweight high stiffness composites, optical and magnetic materials and engineering ceramics have greatly extended the performance of engineering materials, challenging the traditional selection criteria used in product design. The Graduate Diploma course is a one-year full time programme based on a modular credit system.
