This is a one-year full-time, two-year part-time, programme aimed to prepare its graduates for careers applying economic theory to health policy in the public, private and non-profit sectors, while providing a foundation for further postgraduate study at PhD, DBA and Professional Development level.
The MSc Health Economics is a research-orientated programme which aims to prepare graduates for careers analysing health policy in the public and private sectors and also provides a foundation for further postgraduate study at PhD, DBA or Professional Development level.
The emphasis is the description and application of theory and concepts of health economics, the role of health in economic development, systems of health care provision and applied research.

Either a BComm with a Major in Economics; BSc(Hons) Finance; BA(Hons) in Economics; BSc (Computer Science and Economics); Postgraduate Diploma in Business Economics; Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Evaluation Economics; Higher Diploma in Economics (Competition Governance and Society) or the equivalent
AND
At least a 2H2 on the aggregate of all Economics modules in the Degree or Diploma award.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL equivalent
