The course is intended to provide a recognised training module for qualified medical practitioners in this vital area of public and medical interest. The learning objectives include:-
* Increasing the practitioner's knowledge and understanding in a wide range of topics associated with sport and exercise medicine.
* Providing opportunities for clinical practice, and engaging the practitioners in lectures and discussion groups.
Students take 90 credits as follows:
* SX6001 Sports Injuries I: Clinical (20 credits)
* SX6002 Exercise, General Health and Sports Medicine (20 credits)
* SX6003 Sport and Exercise Medicine: Scientific Principles (20 credits)
* SX6004 Research Project (30 credits)
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testAll applicants will be required to have attained a medical qualification of the NUI or an equivalent institution and full registration.
