Studies in the Master's Programme in Mobile Computing - Services and Security cover the latest and future data communications architecture from several perspectives. Students will gain practical knowledge of and theoretical insights into the fields of network applications, services, information security, and mobile networking. Graduates of the programme will be able to design and develop original solutions for the mobile Internet and to implement their ideas as well.

Internet technologies form the technical backbone of the programme. The key subject areas for both the Internet and mobile networks are applications and services, including service management issues such as mobility, quality of service, charging and security. Special attention is paid to information security, as it is a critical issue in developing and deploying services in public networks.

Graduates of the programme are qualified and in high demand for various positions in research and development, consulting, and management in the industry in Finland and abroad. The teaching staff has strong connections to the industry, and students are able to create contacts already during their studies. The programme also provides a solid base for advancing to doctoral studies.
