Project management has grown into more than just a specialist subject in the education
of managers, engineers and others. Its place as a mainstream management discipline
within many organisations is supported widely through academic, government and
both public and private sectors.
Students will gain:
o a broad understanding of project management including its current tools
and techniques
o increased ability to contribute to projects and business effectiveness through
leadership of projects
o an understanding of implementing change through projects

The course emphasises a practical managerial approach covering both the principles and techniques of project management. It covers the necessary systematic and strategic skills needed to achieve a competitive advantage - essential for your career development.
Designed specifically for the busy working professional it is delivered through a series of block sessions each comprising three consecutive days (9:00 - 17:00 usually Tuesday to Thursday) and Masterclasses (two weekday evening session 5:00 - 20:00 hours each year). There are a total of eight days attendance in the first year and nine in the second. The eight days in the first year include a two day induction programme.
Teaching is covered in two academic years (September-May) and the rest of the programme is given over to a research based dissertation with the support of a dissertation supervisor. The on-line library facilities and 24/7 IT support are both designed to facilitate distance learning for busy working professionals.
Students will study a combination of taught and work-based units.

* Project Finance
* Project Systems and Methods
* Research Methods
Work-based units are:
* Problem Solving
* Risk Management
* Commercial Management
* Project Environment
* Dissertation
The Research Methods unit will provide an introduction to the research or work-based project. The dissertation will be a supervised investigation into a specific project management and leadership issue proposed by the student.
The taught units are delivered in a series of block three day modules and work-based units in the form of evening masterclasses.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA good honours degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications, including a BTEC HND in business studies, science or engineering plus 2 years' relevant employment experience. Exceptionally, practising managers with equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications will be considered.
English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 or equivalent, with a minimum score of 6.0 in all individual components.
