This course combines elements of general and applied linguistics with the theory and practice of teaching English.
The MA in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is designed for teachers who intend to teach English to speakers of other languages or who wish to enhance their professional competence and career opportunities. It combines elements of general and applied linguistics with the theory and practice of teaching English.
This course can be studied full-time for one year or part-time for two years.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA good honours degree or equivalent, plus initial teacher training and a minimum of three months full-time, relevant, teaching experience.
English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 7.0 or equivalent with no component less than 6.5.
