o Arabic

o Italian

o Chinese

o Polish

o French

o Portuguese

o German

o Russian

o Greek

o Spanish

o Japanese

This degree allows us to deliver a professionally-oriented, practical MA course in translation to students for whom on-site study is not possible. Like the classroom degree, the course features core units in theory, practice and research, and optional units in a variety of specialised translation activities.

This course is studied over three years.

Contents

You will study four core units and three optional units as well as Research Management and the Dissertation. The aim of the core units is to achieve a balance between the tools and analytical concepts of theory on the one hand and translation practice on the other. The core units are complemented by optional units which cater for the needs of students wishing to offer two foreign languages at an advanced level as well as by units which embrace the technologies underpinning modern translation practice. The Translation Project affords an opportunity for specialisation, as does the Dissertation. For an overview of all course units please access the Course Structure Guide.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
