If you're beginning a career in information management, a masters from Sheffield can give you the grounding employers are looking for. If you're already an experienced professional, our professional enhancement programmes will enhance your knowledge and skills.

About the course
3 years part time

Acquire the knowledge and skills needed for information and change management in the health care sector. You'll be able to evaluate professional practice in the context of contemporary information management and technology theory. Your study will cover evidence-based approaches and you’ll analyse problem-solving and decision-making processes.

Over the first two years, you’ll study through distance learning. In the third and final year, you'll complete your research dissertation. You must attend the initial three-day induction in Sheffield and a dissertation preparation summer school later, but you can live anywhere in the world.

Your career
Your masters prepares you for a library or IT-related career in any sector where information management is key. Graduates also become consultants to organisations who value their expertise.

If you're already an experienced professional, our Professional Enhancement Programmes can help you advance your career by building on your skills.
