Take testEntry Requirements
The normal entry requirement for a Masters programme at the University of Sheffield is at least a 2:1 Honours Degree or equivalent qualification in any subject. It is recognised, however, that the MSc in Medical and Health Sciences has been developed specifically to enhance the continuing professional development of health and related professionals by allowing them to combine their continuing professional education with Masters level academic input. Many of the professionals involved may not have had the opportunity of a formal University education but will hold academic qualifications and or have extensive experience in senior management, and clinical or other position. On this basis, candidates with lesser or different economic qualifications will be considered for admission to the programme on an individual basis. Our experience from the Masters programme in Health Economics and Management has shown us that motivated clinicians and managers are as likely to achieve the degree of Master as those with undergraduate qualification. Students will be required to provide the Course Administrator with at least two academic or professional references to indicate their suitability for the programme.
