About the course
2 years full time
This course teaches the academic and clinical skills you need to practise orthodontics. You'll develop an evidence-based, critical approach to this specialism and to general clinical dentistry.
A focus on research skills will give you the confidence to complete future clinical or laboratory-based research programmes.

Recognised dental qualifications. MFDS essential for UK students, desirable for EU and overseas students.
Overseas students without MFDS or equivalent must have three years' general dental experience.
You can improve your English all the time you are here, by taking advantage of free language tuition and language labs. However you will need to have a good grasp of the language before we can offer you a place. A GCSE grade C, IELTS 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 550 or more is usually acceptable. The British Council has IELTS preparation courses for candidates wishing to familiarise themselves with the examination format. Students with other forms of English language qualification will also be considered.
