This course is for people involved in mentoring and coaching. They may be
* mentors or coaches
* scheme designers and evaluators
* independent consultants
* senior managers interested in developing their skills or those of their employees.
Mentoring and coaching are gaining credibility as important aids in organisations. Coupled with this rise in interest is a greater concern with evaluation and accreditation of mentoring and coaching activity. In particular, mentors and coaches are under greater scrutiny in their ability to add value in mentoring and coaching contexts. These might include private businesses and public and voluntary organisations.
This course gives you opportunities to add and improve skills in these areas as well as engaging with the latest thinking in mentoring and coaching research. The course will be attractive to the specialists devoting much of their time to mentoring and coaching. It is also for managers and others who wish to think through the implications of these important forms of activity for change in their organisation.
By drawing on the most recent research and the experience of consultants and in-house practitioners, this course combines innovation with relevance.
Most assignments are work-based, so it delivers value to sponsoring organisations from day one. You study mentoring and coaching theory and practice and how mentoring and coaching can be a central part of organisational change.
