Location of Sheffield Hallam University

This course is part of our built environment programme and is one of our construction, building and project management courses. The course is for professionals in all areas of construction.

These include

* architecture
* quantity surveying
* building surveying
* civil and structural engineering
* property management
* construction management.

We designed the course in collaboration with industrial partners such as Henry Boot and Gleeson. It produces professional construction managers capable of completing projects quickly, on budget and to a high standard.

It gives detailed knowledge of the specialist areas of construction management and is invaluable if you want to advance your career in the construction industries.

The course develops your understanding of present-day construction, with an emphasis on problem solving. We provide a balanced curriculum of up-to-date technological and managerial methods and traditional approaches to construction.

You gain a good all-round knowledge of construction management and the course´s flexibility allows you to concentrate on areas that are of most interest to you or your business. This equips you to manage and supervise the entire construction process, from information technology to project administration, and to understand and take on specialist roles.

Studying for this postgraduate award also gives you the chance to meet similar professionals from a wide range of national and international companies, and from all levels of management.

A degree or equivalent in a related discipline or a recognised professional qualification at corporate membership level. We also consider applicants with alternative qualifications or a combination of qualifications and relevant work experience.

International students must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum score of 6.0 in writing.
