We have a long and successful tradition of delivering courses for career-minded professionals. As part of that tradition, we designed this course for IT professionals at an early stage in their career.
You study database or networking technology and gain relevant professional skills in one of these areas. We combine Cisco or Oracle certification training with masters level education.
As part of the course you
* study modules in networking or databases
* study general IT and management modules
* take Cisco or Oracle training, which we combine with particular modules
* can take associated Cisco or Oracle examinations and become an Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
The taught modules allow you to
* gain a thorough understanding of current best practice in the theory and application of leading edge IT technologies and associated tools and techniques
* increase your employment and career potential by combining academic study and professional training
* develop and improve your professional and managerial skills in IT systems in organisations
* gain an insight into how businesses use different IT systems and technologies to meet their needs
Towards the end of the course, you study a research module and do a research project leading to your dissertation.
You gain academic and professional experience and skills in networking or databases and in other areas of IT and business.

* web application design
* high bandwidth multimedia
* networking technologies support and provision
MSc stage for networking and databases
You study the research principles and practice module and do a research project leading to a dissertation.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

* Normally you need a good honours degree in computing or a related discipline and at least one year´s relevant work experience.
* If you do not have a good first degree, we will consider your application if you have extensive work experience and other formal and professional qualifications.
* If your first language is not English you must have an IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent.
