This is a fast track conversion course for graduates from unrelated disciplines who want to become chartered surveyors. The course is also suitable if you are a professional working in surveying and you want to improve your skills and career prospects in commercial property.
Real estate operates in a dynamic and complex environment and draws on a diverse range of areas. This course gives you the technical, commercial and personal skills which prepare you to start a successful career as a chartered surveyor.
The course includes practical, client-focused property projects. These involve you completing technical and professional tasks and applying creative solutions that draw on your developing knowledge of o property law o economics o planning o land development o investment o valuation and business management.
You benefit from a range of teaching, learning and assessment techniques. Intensive block study weeks allow you to work on complex, professional briefs in teams with an emphasis on the latest thinking from the real estate sector. One such block week is an international field trip, which we expect to take place in Europe.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA good first degree in any discipline or an equivalent professional qualification.
As a full-time student you are expected to obtain a period of pre-course professional work experience before joining.
As a part-time student you should be employed in general practice surveying or have substantial contact with a property-related firm.
International students who are not English speakers must also have an average score of 7.0 IELTS with at least 6.5 in any of the four IELTS skills.

This course is approved by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). On entry to the part-time course, or completion of the full-time course, you may register for the RICS´ APC training period.
