Skills
In this course, you'll develop business and marketing skills that relate specifically to the management of large and small scale events and festivals with an international focus. Through lectures, guest speakers and case studies, you'll develop an advanced understanding of the issues and concepts involved in the industry. You'll learn broad skills, such as formulating policy and planning for the future, as well as developing your abilities in research, time management and presentation methods.

On successful completion of this programme, you are eligible to apply for the Associate (AIH) Grade of membership at the Institute of Hospitality, and following an assessment, you may also meet the requirements for the Member (MIH) Grade.

Students will normally be expected to hold an Honours degree from a UK institution. Students applying from another European country must have a qualification equivalent to 240 credits under the European Credit Transfer Scheme (ECTS).
Students applying outwith the European Union need to have an honours degree or equivalent from a recognized institution and will also be required to provide proof of English Language proficiency (usually IELTS 6.0 or equivalent), unless taught wholly in English. Other qualifications with appropriate experience may also be considered.
