The MSc in Applied Neuropsychology considers the impact of brain damage on psychological functions and evaluates methods of assessment and intervention.
It will be of value to those interested in carrying out research into neuropsychological disability and rehabilitation, or as a preparation for clinical training.
The course starts with foundation knowledge in neuroscience and moves on to consider impairment, assessment and intervention in different areas of psychological function such as memory, language and attention. Techniques of assessment and topical issues in clinical practice are also included.
Many of the modules are shared with the MSc in Clinical Neuropsychology and there is a strong emphasis on clinical application throughout.
