The PgDip in Advanced Architectural Design is a nine-month course which represents the final stage of academic architectural education en route to Part 2 professional qualification. Subject to the satisfactory completion of all Diploma work, students may be given the opportunity to extend their course of study for an additional three months in order to convert their Diploma into an MArch.

The MArch/PgDip degree provides an open and creative learning environment embracing theory and practice where students have the opportunity to explore architecture in a broad-based and general manner. The award of the MArch/PgDip signals the academic culmination of a design-centred professionally orientated architectural education.

Studies, which call for theoretical, experimental and practical exemplification, are predominantly project-based and demand a high level of design ability and self motivation.
