As an addition to your existing qualification in engineering, this course will open up the area of engineering design, giving you a specialist understanding of the field and opportunities for employment, often in large scale, challenging enterprises. With an emphasis on computer-aided design, you'll learn effective organisation, implementation and operation of design systems.
Skills
The skills you'll gain will include computer-aided design and the ability to analyse projects and provide design solutions. Independent, critical thinking will be taught, as will the ability to produce conceptual designs and design embodiment. You will work both individually and collaboratively, developing professional capabilities in engineering design.

This course is studied full-time over one year. You will learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and through independent study.

English Language Requirements
If English is not your first language, you´ll need to provide evidence that you can read, write, speak and understand English satisfactorily. For most courses, in additional to satisfying the standard entry requirements, we normally require international students (check) to demonstrate their English ability through an English language test, usually IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
Courses require an IELTS score of 6.0, which is equivalent to ToEFL 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based) or 79-80 (internet-based).
