his cutting-edge MSc in eMarketing gives graduates and professionals the competitive advantage in the modern business world.
This programme is for anyone looking to position themselves for enhanced career opportunities in marketing, including positions such as online marketing manager, database marketing manager, e-marketing manager, internet channel manager and electronic media product manager.
It will expose you to the latest thinking in this fast developing field and will make you stand out from the crowd in today´s competitive environment. It is a one-year, taught full-time programme, or a two-year, taught part-time programme, for graduates with a first degree in a subject with a marketing, business or information component.
You will explore, through seminars, workshops and interactive learning, the principles of eBusiness and the impact of web-based and digital technologies. You will develop the knowledge and skills to be able to efficiently manage areas such as customer relationship management, interactive marketing communications, the development and running of a web-based business, search engine marketing and web analytics. This programme is taught by a team comprising of members of both the Business School and the School of Technology.
Teaching, learning and assessment
Much of the teaching on the course takes the form of interactive workshops, but there are also lectures from staff and visiting speakers. Lectures, discussions, role-play exercises, learning packages and seminars are linked with selected case studies and assessments to strengthen your practical analysis and decision-making skills. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in working as part of a team through structured syndicate work and group assignments.
Teaching staff are primarily those academics from within the Business School with research and/or in-depth practical experience of business and management issues. Visiting speakers from business, industry, consultancies and research bodies provide further input.
In semester one you will study the following compulsory modules:
* Principles and Practice of eBusiness,
* Electronic Customer Relationship Management,
* and Web Applications Development.
In semester 2 you will study,
* Digital Marketing Communications Strategy,
* Marketing eFutures and Building a Web-Based Business.
As part of your course you will be helped to determine your own development goals in Personal Development and Leadership and will also undertake a Research Methods Module that will prepare you for your MSc Dissertation or Business Project.

Credits and modules
Oxford Brookes operates the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). All postgraduate single modules are equivalent to 10 ECTS credits, double modules to 20 ECTS credits, and treble modules to 30 ECTS credits. A full master's course will carry 90 ECTS credits.
