The WU Executive MBA program focuses on general management and leadership issues and taught in English. Emphasis is placed on the impact of globalization, the development of appropriate corporate strategies, the management of change processes and the acquisition of solid financial management skills.
During 14 months and only 40 working days off-the job, participants work on three continents and earn degrees from two leading business schools in America and Europe. Ten four-day modules are taught in Vienna and are accompanied by two-week pre and post module distance learning phases. The program also includes three international residencies to Eastern Europe (St. Petersburg, Russia), Asia (Guangzhou, China & Bangalore, India) and America (New York & Minneapolis, U.S.A.).
The didactic design, consisting of pre-, core- and post-module work, ensures an efficient transfer of knowledge while participants develop their professional career. The pedagogical approaches are diverse, ranging from interactive case studies to business simulations and formal presentations.
A particular highlight of the program is the virtual team project. Here, participants develop business plans with other Executive MBA students from Warsaw (Poland), Guangzhou (China) and Minneapolis (USA). All teams gather to present their results at the end of the program in Minneapolis.
